More Election Post-Mortem
If only Kerry's Get Out The Vote campaign had been run by the Falun Gong....
Election Post-Mortem
To think, as the first exit polls started coming in, we all thought for sure we were going to win. We couldn't lose. Not possible. What a devastating and soul-crushing defeat.
Boy, I almost know how it feels to be a Yankee fan.

10 Observations For 2004
1. "Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it -- good and hard."
2. “Every election is a sort of advance auction sale of stolen goods.”
3. “Giving every man a vote has no more made men wise and free than Christianity has made them good.”
4. “I believe in only one thing: liberty; but I do not believe in liberty enough to want to force it upon anyone.”
5. “Immorality: the morality of those who are having a better time.”
6.“A national political campaign is better than the best circus ever heard of, with a mass baptism and a couple of hangings thrown in.”
7. “Most people want security in this world, not liberty.”
8. “Nobody ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American public.”
9. “Puritanism. The haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy.”
10. “In this world of sin and sorrow there is always something to be thankful for; as for me, I rejoice that I am not a Republican.”

I guess we'll all just have to wait for Michael Moore's next paranoid rant to find out what really went down on Election Day.

Just Vote -- As Long As It's Not That Snickering Dickhead
You know those Democratic supporters who preach the message that "no matter who you support, the important thing is that you go out there and vote"? What the $*&% are they talking about?
You want to champion our political system, do that some other year. Not this one. Not when we have a president who says this to every worker who's trying to make ends meet, every golfer not affiliated with a country club and every citizen who's concerned with stuff like personal rights and civil liberties.
So make a stand for the man you want to lead this country for the next four years (i.e. John Kerry), don't worry so much about the democratic process. It will be okay.
